"Jacksonville writers writing Jacksonville" and reading to lit lovers at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and the Jacksonville Public Library. The presenting sponsor is Ron Chamblin, owner of Chamblin's Uptown Bookstore, with a special display of works by Jacksonville writers right next door.

The annual JaxbyJax Literary Arts Festival showcases our community’s thriving writing scene by sharing the voices of local writers. Across multiple venues in the heart of Jacksonville’s downtown, various writers present a plethora of works from poetry to novel excerpts and more.

At this free event, attendees get to choose their own adventure. Begin the day hearing from talented student writers and contributors to the five-year anothology of Women Writing for a Change. Then, travel from venue to venue hearing from local writers at each location. A new writer takes the stage every half hour. Attendees are invited to end the evening by connecting with featured writers at a reception in MOCA from 5-7 p.m.
